Safety Guide

Safety & Trust

BiliBenta helps people discover and communicate about products, services, and talent. These practical steps can help protect your account, personal information, and decisions.

Before you connect

Three steady habits

Use the marketplace to start a conversation, then take time to make an informed decision.

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Check the details

Read the full listing, review photos, ask relevant questions, and clarify price, condition, scope, and timing before agreeing.

Keep private information private

Do not share passwords, one-time verification or reset codes, government IDs, full card details, or precise home addresses in public content. Review photos for documents, addresses, and location clues before uploading. Keep conversations focused on the transaction and avoid sending identity documents, financial details, or other unnecessary personal information.

Use thoughtful arrangements

Unless an in-app feature expressly says otherwise, buyers, sellers, and service providers arrange payment, delivery, and performance directly with one another. For an in-person exchange, choose a public, familiar place where possible and tell someone you trust about your plan.

Use your own judgment and take time to make an informed decision.

Prohibited listings

Products and services BiliBenta does not allow

BiliBenta’s launch rules do not allow listings offering illicit or controlled drugs or drug paraphernalia; medicines, pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, or other regulated health products; firearms, ammunition, or weapon components; explosives, fireworks, or pyrotechnic products; tobacco, nicotine, or vaping/e-cigarette products; wildlife or wildlife-derived products; pesticides, fertilizers, or agricultural chemicals; or counterfeit, pirated, or stolen goods. Do not place a prohibited product in a different, substitute, or gear category because its dedicated category is unavailable. Gardening Gear and Pest Control Gear are for standalone physical, non-chemical equipment only; they do not permit fertilizers, pesticides, treated baits, formulations, or other prohibited agricultural chemicals. A restricted item remains prohibited if described as natural, organic, homemade, handmade, or for personal use, or if the seller labels the offer private. This posting rule applies whether users discuss, arrange, pay for, exchange, or complete the transaction on or off BiliBenta.

Do not use any Service listing or BiliBenta message to offer, arrange, or facilitate medicine sourcing, procurement, ordering, purchase, pickup, transport, delivery, sale, brokerage, fulfillment, or dispensing. This includes Pharmacy errands and general errand, shopping, transport, or delivery services used to obtain, collect, carry, or deliver medicines or other regulated health products. The restriction applies whether the pharmacy, order, payment, or handoff occurs on or off BiliBenta; a self-declared license or Commercial label does not create an exception.

These are BiliBenta platform restrictions, not a claim that every product or service covered by them is illegal under Philippine law. Some otherwise lawful products or services may still be restricted because BiliBenta does not currently verify permits, seller qualifications, or other conditions needed to support those offers. Genuine branded secondhand goods are not automatically prohibited solely because they are used.

If you see a product listing or service offer that appears to violate these rules, or counterfeit or stolen goods, report it from the listing or contact support. Do not proceed with an offer you believe may be unlawful or unsafe.

Scam awareness

Pause when something feels rushed or unusual.

A listing, message, or offer can look convincing and still need checking. Do not let urgency replace your own judgment.

Know what verification means

Email verification is not identity verification

Email verification helps confirm access to an inbox. It does not independently verify a person’s identity, qualifications, ownership of an item, or trustworthiness.
